Distant views of darker clouds
Moving side ways on a mountain side,
As our thoughts drift out of sight
Oh the sweet smell of rain on a afternoon delight…
A tree swaying in the breeze in its own surrender
Awaiting the gentle rain from a view so tender,
Among the silence of rock we sit in a dream like sense
In the chilling breeze of a rain without defense…
Clouds on clouds gathering above with nowhere to hide
We shrug, smile in silence with a quiet mind,
The thunder has warn with the sound of distant pain
Our gentle rain has arrived, now we must walk in the rain…
We’ve seen the beauty of what the mountain intends,
And we walk with our wine and a afternoon smile.
