The act of morning fell so soft upon the scene,
and i tremble, stumble, upon this hill, from a dream,
inspired by the formations afar,
i am thankful and i have traveled far without pause!!
you are the wise, i stand before you a vulnerable man,
so lifeless, almost nothing,i kneel a courageous coward,
oh without exhaustion, such beauty you posses,
the vast expanse, unmeasurable beauty, the ranks of mesas.
oh all i can do is admire, adore.... i am shy and i applause!!
as the daylight moon shimmers in sunlight,
a gentle breeze trickles the juniper shade,
and i smile as the breeze carries on through the ranks of mesas,
the valleys have stopped, as day awaits the birth of night,
i to shall sit and wait for the evening scene to conspire!!
oh mesas, you have grown unnoticed,
from the vast radiant rays you have risen,
the western sky drips with a new sunset,
trapped inside your solitude, your formidable prison,
i will not leave, i am ashamed and i applause!!
